ABOUT THE PROJECT
Strakout Heatstroke is a one-page PSA website designed to raise awareness about heatstroke through an engaging and approachable digital experience. Inspired by 1970s illustration and design, the project uses retro floral graphics and an outdoor environment to transform important health information into a visually memorable experience.
The page organizes heatstroke information into clear sections while using illustration, color, and visual cues to guide visitors through the content.BEHIND THE DESIGN
The main design challenge was presenting educational information in a way that felt engaging rather than placing the content on a simple white background. I developed an illustrated outdoor environment inspired by 1970s graphics to make the information feel like part of one continuous visual scene.
Cloud shapes create backgrounds for each content section, while leaves point toward subheadings and help guide the viewer down the page. A large flower near the title extends through the composition toward a brown dirt-inspired footer, connecting the individual sections and creating a cohesive visual experience from beginning to end.
